Youth Ministry

Catholic youth ministry seeks to involve young people within the whole faith community, expressing and understanding who we are as a church in our relationship with God. Activities can range from small scale events within a parish or Catholic school, to large scale events such as the Australian Catholic Youth Festival or World Youth Day.

As a whole, there are a focus on 8 areas:

  • Prayer and Worship
  • Evangelisation
  • Catechesis
  • Pastoral Care

  • Community Life
  • Justice and Service
  • Leadership Development
  • Advocacy

Ways students can get involved at our school is by:

  • participating in the range of youth ministry initiatives that the school supports (for example Project Compassion, St Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal, St Vincent De Paul Christmas Appeal, VISION program).
  • participating in one of the ministries (reading, music, audiovisual) during school masses or within student local parishes.
  • attending youth ministry events that are organised by Sydney Catholic schools or surrounding Catholic schools within our region. This is a great way to meet other like-minded students from other Catholic schools.
