Br Dermot Brosnan Library

The Brother Dermot Brosnan Library plays a central role in the teaching and learning programme of the College. It provides resources to support the curriculum and promotes the development of information literacy, enabling our students to be lifelong learners in an ever-changing world. We promote a culture of reading across the College through a varied collection of print fiction, ebooks and non-fiction books, catering for the educational, cultural and recreational needs of the students.

Oliver is the search engine we use to access our College library. Oliver will lead you to many useful resources, including books, ebooks, websites, videos, podcasts, articles, periodicals and many more.

Some of the resources available require you to Login as an Oliver user. You can do this by using the login link at the top right of the home screen. The Teacher Librarian will have provided you with a username. You will set your own password. This will allow you to search, access your own account (current loans, renewals, overdue loans, reservations, alerts, etc.) as well as send requests and emails. You can renew your own loans – you need never have an overdue book!

Remember, your College library is stocked with resources matching the curriculum you are studying, so always make it your starting point.
