Catholic Life

In proclaiming the Gospel, De La Salle Catholic College Caringbah strives to make known the values and teachings of Jesus Christ.

St John Baptist de La Salle believed that touching the hearts of students, inspiring them with the Christian spirit, was the greatest miracle a Catholic school could perform.

College Anthem

Lord, we bring our thanks and praises
For the life of De La Salle
Who for youth, deprived, neglected
Gave the world the Christian Schools.

Glory be to God the Father
Praise to Jesus Christ the Son,
Honour to the Holy Spirit
For the Life of De La Salle.

Faith in God his guiding beacon.
Love for youth his one true call.
Leaving home, possessions, family,
dedicated to his cause.

May we follow his great vision.
May we sense his love and zeal.
May we share his dedication,
with him answer God’s great call.

Religious Education

The Archdiocese of Sydney’s compulsory religious education program is a high quality, secondary religious education curriculum prepared by the archbishop and teachers within the archdiocese. The students use the specifically written resources in the classrooms to assist in their learning.

Students in Years 7-10 are invited into a deeper and more intimate relationship with God through their exploration of the scriptures, their participation in personal and communal prayer, and their
living out of Catholic social and moral teaching.

The secondary RE curriculum provides opportunities for young people to ‘see, judge and act’ in response to Jesus’ great commandment to love God and love others and thus to live life to the full.

Youth Ministry

Catholic Youth Ministry seeks to involve young people within the whole faith community, expressing and understanding who we are as a church in our relationship with God. Activities can range from small scale events within a parish or Catholic school, to large scale events such as the Australian Catholic Youth Festival or World Youth Day.
