Counselling

The college has a full-time school psychologist/counsellor who works in collaboration with the pastoral care team. The team includes a support network of a pastoral teacher, year coordinator and executive staff. Their main role is to work together to support students with academic, emotional or behavioural needs or concerns that impact upon their wellbeing, and therefore their learning at the college.

Referrals can be made from within the staff pastoral network, from parents or from the students themselves.

The role of a school counsellor is to check up on how students are coping with everything that is part of life in high school. They are another person in the school who can support students with issues or concerns that may be making life more difficult.
